It is said about Imām Ĥammād ibn Abū Sulaymān (the teacher of Imām Abū Ĥanīfah) that he used to pause between two consecutive words while speaking – regardless whether the speech was about fiqh or whether it was a worldly matter. And in these pauses he would say the Tasbih.* "I shall feel ashamed that I should receive my book of deeds, and that any line in it does not have a Tasbiĥ."
