بسم الله الرحمن الحيم

Bismillāhi’r Raĥmāni’r Raĥīm.

Tanwīr means ‘to illuminate’.  Inspired by the name of  Imām Ibn Áţāyillāh as-Sakandari’s book, At-Tanwīr fī Isqāţi’t Tadbīr, this blog is a collection of notes, anecdotes and excerpts from books.

Myself: Beginner and student of Islamic sciences; Sunni, Hanafi, Maturidi, Qadiri;  an admirer and follower of the Imam, the noble shaykh, the gnostic Ahmed Rida Khan al-Baraylawi – one of the leading lights of Ahlu’s Sunnah in recent times, and its foremost defender; the reviver of the religion, the mujaddid of the 14th century.

You have put the love of Mustafa in people’s hearts;
A million salutes to you, O Imam Ahmed Rida!
